Well, I was sitting on 2nd row for this show. And
had 2nd row for the next 2 shows at the Omni.
Atlanta was my hometown but I had just gotten
back from the 3 Cap Centre shows. At the Cap Centre
I had been jonesin' for a Half-step & after NOT getting
one....As we were leaving the Cap Centre parking lot,
knowing we had 2nd row seats, I said "First set opener
in Atlanta is gonna be Mississippi Half-step!" I don't
know how I knew but I just knew it. For me it was a
very excellent show. I had the seat right next to the
aisle, so I had room to dance!!! AND I DANCED MY
ASS OFF THAT NIGHT!!!
Updated July 2021- This is & was a really great show! I'm actually surprised it hasn't had more views & reviews. People, in their reviews talk about the 2nd Set Opener "Eyes of the World". And I'm NOT trying to downplay it cuz YES it is a very good "Eyes" & especially from this time. But no one mentions the "Bird Song" in the 1st set or the killer vibe that these 3 Omni Shows had. I saw the 3 Cap Centre Shows previous to these 3 Omni shows & these seemed to have a much BIGGER & BETTER VIBE. During the 2nd show, the night after this one,we were shrooming. And we were yawning. Then when we would yawn tears would flow ^ so did the colors. My brother Joey, good friend Joe Shanahan & myself. Not sure which one of us it was BUT JERRY CAUGHT A YAWN FROM US. HE KNEW IT & WE KNEW IT. NOTHING LEFT TO DO BUT SMILE SMILE SMILE!!!!

can feel the spring tour energy level kicked up a notch w/ this first omni show... '93 shows require re-examination as they're better than the retrospective conventional wisdom -- which is always wrong.

Boy that eyes was smokin the half step was so unique with Jerry stopping and slowing it down and dropping down into those deep valleys.

Wow, thanks so much for this site. I experienced my first rush of real LSD as these guys played Eyes that night. One of a handful of truly ecstatic experiences in my life. Hindsight only increasingly confirms how lucky I was to see this show as a first; saw several after, but this was the overall best of them - well, with the possible exception of 7.31.94. Cheers to the Stone Mountaineers and everyone else for the March Madness.

I flew down to Atlanta from Philly and went to March 20th and 21st. Ran into Ted Turner and Hanoi Jane. Had lots of fun with my friends Alex an Rmos and other friends. The shows were stellar. The special effects were particular enlightning (~):}

I would rate this one of the better Eyes of the nineties. Very jazzy solos, great tempo cool midi solo. Vince earns his keep with taseful notes and a driving percussion during the chorus.
*This to me is the best SMR if vince stayed with this tone on more songs he would have bee far more aprreciated. Jerrys solo is so good. Just listen for your self.

This show sounds like a very strong performance, by 1993 standards. There is a bit of a hiss on this show, but it is still worth the listen/dl. Jerry's guitar work sounds great though, really energetic and immersed in the music. 4 star performance, 3 star sound. There are some points where things don't quite click, like the end of Maggies, and the beginning of Bird Song, but once things get going, the band does sound pretty darn good.
Man, Vinnie just slaughters the beginnning of All Over Now (however, his solo redeems him). 1/2 Step is great. SMR is really strong. Promised Land is hot! Eyes is awesome. Looks Like rain is patched from an AUD version. Lazy River, Truckin > Smokestack is very strong too. Jerry rips Truckin' up. The Wheel is average, with Watchtower being one of the most JERRY versions I have ever heard. It Smokes!! Saturday Nite rocks too. Liberty is great too!
